Chargers Open TCCAA Region 7 Play with Victory Over Motlow State
The Columbia State Chargers continued their strong start to the season, securing a 98-89 road win against Motlow State in Tullahoma, TN, during the opening weekend of TCCAA Region 7 play. With the win, the Chargers improve to an impressive 5-0 record.
Sophomore Mahki Wright, from Decatur, IL, led the team with 20 points, while Thaddeus Johnson added 19 points. Other top scorers included Jarrod Taylor with 14 points, Ron Brisbon with 12, and Taveon Comage with 11.
The Chargers are back in action on Monday, November 11, as they face Johnson University JV in a non-conference game at Columbia State's Webster Athletic Center. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. Their next TCCAA matchup is on Wednesday, November 13, at Volunteer State.
