Chargers Clinch Regular Season Championship, Secure #1 Seed in TCCAA Tournament
The Chargers basketball team capped off their regular season with a decisive 73-66 victory over Chattanooga State, clinching the regular season championship and securing the #1 seed for the upcoming TCCAA tournament.
Sophomore Mahki Wright led the charge with a double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Fellow sophomore Simeon Williams added 12 points and 6 rebounds, while Thaddeus Johnson contributed 12 points and 7 boards. Freshman Taveon Comage also made a significant impact, scoring 10 points with 2 rebounds.
This victory brought the Chargers' record to an impressive 24-4 overall and 15-3 in conference play, solidifying their status as the top team in the TCCAA.
