Lady Chargers Fall to No. 15 Chattanooga State
The Lady Chargers Softball team faced a tough challenge on Friday, hosting the No. 15-ranked Chattanooga State Lady Tigers at Eddie Campbell Field. Despite battling hard, the Lady Chargers fell short, dropping both games in the doubleheader by scores of 9-0 and 7-0.
Game One: No-Hit Loss The Lady Chargers struggled to generate offense in the opener, unable to record a hit against the strong Chattanooga State pitching. In the circle, Christina Juarez took the loss, pitching 6 innings while allowing 10 hits, 5 earned runs, and striking out 1 batter.
Game Two: Offensive Effort Falls Short In the second game, the Lady Chargers managed to collect three hits, courtesy of Samantha Staggs, Bella Birdsong, and Jaides Parrish. Staggs also took the loss in the circle, throwing all 7 innings while surrendering 9 hits, 6 earned runs, and striking out 4.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back as they host Dyersburg State on April 4th for a TCCAA doubleheader at Eddie Campbell Field.
