Lady Chargers Fall to Itawamba in Hard-Fought Game, 78-65
In a spirited showdown at the Webster Athletic Center, the Columbia State Lady Chargers faced off against the visiting Itawamba Community College but came up short, with a final score of 78-65. The Lady Chargers put up a strong fight throughout the game, with sophomore Ansley Burleson leading the way, scoring an impressive 23 points, including five three-pointers.
Freshmen Lily Melton and Jacie Scott also made significant contributions, adding 12 points each to the Lady Chargers' total.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back on Saturday, November 9th, as they travel to Motlow State for the opening matchup in TCCAA Region 7 play.
