Lady Chargers Pick Up First Conference Win at Motlow State
The Columbia State Lady Chargers basketball team secured their first conference win on the road this past Saturday against Motlow State, bringing their conference record to 1-0 in TCCAA play. The Lady Chargers are off to a promising start in conference competition and are looking to build on their success after the 64-40 win.
Freshman standout Lily Melton led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 18 points, making 3 steals, and grabbing 7 rebounds. Jacqueline Hardrick contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Queen Benjamin achieved a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Ansley Burleson added 10 points and made 6 steals, showing her strong defensive presence on the court.
The Lady Chargers' next game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, at Volunteer State.
