Lady Chargers Battle at CSI Thanksgiving Classic
The Lady Chargers spent Thanksgiving weekend in Twin Falls, Idaho, competing in the College of Southern Idaho Thanksgiving Classic. Facing tough opponents, the team showed determination and resilience.
On Friday, November 29, the Lady Chargers took on Treasure Valley Community College in a hard-fought game that ended in an 84-77 loss. Standout performances included Ansley Burleson with an impressive double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Jacqueline Hardrick, who also tallied a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Saturday's game saw the Lady Chargers up against the host school, the #4-ranked College of Southern Idaho. Despite a valiant effort, the team fell 91-59. Jacqueline Hardrick once again led the charge with 24 points, while Ansley Burleson contributed 13 points and 5 rebounds. Lily Melton and Jacie Scott each added 10 points to round out the scoring.
The Lady Chargers will hit the road again on Wednesday, December 4, traveling to Dyersburg for a Region 7 matchup. They'll look to bounce back and build momentum as they continue their season.
