Lady Chargers Dominate Lady Bucks, Improve to 8-3 in Conference Play
On Saturday, January 25, the Columbia State Lady Chargers delivered a strong performance at Webster Gym, securing a 67-54 victory over the Motlow State Lady Bucks. The win was a total team effort, with standout contributions from several players.
Sophomore Ansley Burleson led the charge with an impressive double-double, tallying 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Freshman Jacie Scott matched Burleson's scoring with 19 points of her own, along with 5 rebounds. Freshman Lily Melton added 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals, while Queen Benjamin chipped in with 8 points and 11 rebounds. Jacqueline Hardrick contributed 3 points to round out the scoring.
The Lady Chargers were efficient at the free-throw line, shooting an impressive 82%. With the win, the team improves to 9-8 overall and 8-3 in TCCAA conference play.
