Lady Chargers Fall to Motlow State in Nail-Biting Region 7 Matchup
The Columbia State Lady Chargers faced a tough battle on Sunday, traveling to Motlow State for a Region 7 match. The game started strong for the Lady Chargers, who took an early lead at the 10-minute mark when Abigale Alexander scored, assisted by her sister, Addison Alexander.
Despite a strong offensive showing, with Columbia outshooting Motlow 13-9, the Lady Chargers were unable to capitalize on additional scoring opportunities. The match took a dramatic turn late in the second half when Motlow equalized in the 74th minute with a goal from Ariana Baxter. With less than a minute remaining, Motlow scored again to secure a 2-1 victory.
The Lady Chargers will be looking to bounce back as they travel to East Tennessee for two crucial Region 7 matchups against Roane State on Friday and Pellissippi on Sunday.
