Chargers Conquer Knoxville: Back-to-Back Wins Highlight Region 7 Action
In challenging weather conditions, the Chargers secured two vital Region 7 victories in Knoxville over consecutive days. Rescheduled due to inclement weather, Columbia State faced back-to-back matches.
On Saturday, the Chargers dominated Roane State with a 6-goal margin, powered by standout performances from Abigale Alexander and Ally Hawkins, each netting two goals, along with contributions from freshman Karson Long and Tatum Hoffman.
Sunday's matchup against Pellissippi proved more competitive; despite outshooting them 11 to 3, Columbia State clinched a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to Alexander's game-winning goal on a chilly, rainy afternoon.
Looking ahead, the Chargers return to Region 7 action this week, hosting Dyersburg at a new time of 4 PM, followed by a Sunday game against Southwest, also at 4 PM both at Ridley Park.
