As week 8 of conference play has come and gone, the Chargers won their 6th consecutive conference series of the year. A come-from-behind victory in game one on Friday evening was capped off by a 3-run walk-off single by Brady Hendrix and Hutson Miles' hustle from first base was the deciding run in the action-packed game.
Saturday was a tale of two different games as the Bucks took advantage of Charger mistakes and won game 2 of the series 9-5. The final game of the series was controlled by the Chargers as they would cruise to an 8-0 win behind 6 scoreless innings from Cole O'Brien and a 4-hit performance by Mike McClellan that included 3 doubles. The Chargers improved to 19-5 in conference and 31-12 overall.
Headed into the final conference series, the Chargers are tied at the top of the standings with Walters State, but the Chargers do hold the tiebreaker as they won the season series against the Senators.
