he Chargers baseball team delivered a commanding performance this weekend, sweeping Jackson State in a TCCAA series at Dave Hall Field. The Chargers claimed victory in all three games, winning 7-4, 9-0, and 11-1, to improve their overall record to 13-12 and 8-3 in conference play.
In game one, Jake Cardin secured the win, pitching six solid innings with five hits, one earned run, and three strikeouts. Offensively, Brady Hendrix led the charge, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs. Clint Seymore added power with a home run and two RBIs, while Derek Valentin-Luciano contributed a solo shot. Tyler Jenkins, Arturo Rodriguez, and Kaito Muto all added key hits to seal the win.
Game two saw Adam Jamison dominate on the mound, tossing six innings of shutout baseball with three hits and five strikeouts. The Chargers' bats stayed hot, with Russ Lambert driving in three runs on a perfect 2-for-2 outing. Clint Seymore and Arturo Rodriguez combined for four RBIs, and Camden Vaughn chipped in with two hits to complete the 9-0 shutout.
The Chargers capped off the series with an 11-1 rout in game three. Dylan Alonso earned the win, striking out seven over four innings while allowing just one run. The Chargers' offense exploded for 12 hits, highlighted by Hutson Miles' 3-for-3 performance with two RBIs.
