Chargers Baseball Takes Series Over Roane State
The Chargers Baseball team hosted the Raiders from Roane State on Thursday and Friday, securing a hard-fought series victory after dropping the opening game.
Game One: Chargers Fall in High-Scoring Battle In the series opener, a nine-inning contest, the Chargers came up short in a 13-10 loss. Jake Cardin took the mound to start, pitching 4.1 innings while allowing 8 hits and 7 earned runs. Owen Wilson took the loss in relief, going 3.2 innings and giving up 12 hits, 6 earned runs, and recording 2 strikeouts.
Despite the loss, the Chargers' offense was productive, tallying 10 hits. Hutson Miles went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, while Clint Seymore contributed with a 2-for-6 performance, including a double and an RBI. Adam Jamison started the game, pitching 4.2 innings, surrendering 11 hits and 8 earned runs while striking out four.
