Chargers Earn Split in Saturday Doubleheader Against Walters State
The Chargers wrapped up their weekend series against Walters State on Saturday, earning a hard-fought split in the doubleheader.

Adam Jamison earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings while allowing six hits, one earned run, and striking out four. Jay Watson closed out the game, pitching the final inning to earn the save despite surrendering four hits and one earned run.
Offensively, the Chargers tallied nine hits. Cade Hitson led the charge at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, and three RBIs in a breakout performance. Hutson Miles added a solo home run, finishing 1-for-5, while Brady Hendrix contributed a 1-for-4 day with a run scored and an RBI. Tyler Jenkins went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Kaito Muto chipped in a 1-for-2 effort with two RBIs. Russ Lambert also added a hit, going 1-for-3.
Game two was a different story, as the Chargers struggled to get anything going in a 20–0 loss in five innings. The offense was limited to just four hits, coming from Miles, Hendrix, Clint Seymore, and Lambert. Dylan Alonso took the loss on the mound, dropping his record to 5–2 on the season.
With the split, the Chargers continue to battle through a competitive stretch of the season. They'll look to bounce back on Tuesday, April 8th, when they host Snead State for a single game at 2:00 p.m.
